Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF) wishes to thank Telecom Vanuatu Limited (TVL) for their sponsorship to football development in Vanuatu since 2008. TVL have been committed to promote and fund football for children, youth and senior football in Vanuatu, and last Saturday, fans in Vila have witnessed the final of Southern Region VFF/TVL Cup, and the Champion from Tafea Football Association, Hilands F.C. have claimed a spot in the top of the classement after beating Shepherds United of Port Vila. Hilands F.C. recieved a cash price of 100,000 vatu and also claimed a place in the Bred Cup tournament this week. The VFF/TVL tournament also ends with the 'Coach' of the tournament being awarded to Hilands coach, Wattson Nik, and the top scorer of the tournament goes to Daniel Michel of Shepherds United who scored 3 goals in total during the tournament. "By supporting the TVL Cup 2010, the company hopes to promote football in the country and enhance our brand image both in the Port Vila and in Vanuatu as a whole", said TVL Marketing Manager, Jean Denis Poullain. "The tournament has fantastic support throughout Vanuatu and we are keen to build that even further", he said. VFF President Lambert Maltock thanked and praised TVL for their sponsorship and continuous support to football development in the country. "It is great news that TVL will continue to sponsor the tournament in the years to come. Sponsorship is the lifeblood of the game and we are fortunate to have secured a wonderful new partner like TVL", he said. "The tournament has established well in Port Vila Football Association, and has a brought a lot of fans together in almost every matches, with full stadium capacity".
