Referees must work hard to provide fair game. Nase Carlo

Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF) Referee Development Officer, Nase Carlo, confirmed that Referees from Port Vila Football Association were tested at Korman Stadium last week and nearly all of them passed their fitness test.

"The tests conclude that referees qualify, in terms of fitness, will be ready to officiate matches coming up this weekend when the championship kick offs at Port Vila Stadium."I am more than satisfied with their performance in the tests." Say Carlo.

The physical fitness test was conducted by the VFF Referee Development Officer in collaboration with other Referee Instructors.

"Referees must keep in mind that players and coaches put in lots of time to prepare for the game and they have the right to expect a competent referee."

It's important that Referees take his or her job seriously and to provide a fair game to everyone."

"Taking a little time each week to review the Laws of the Game or to discuss a call with your fellow referees are important ways to ensure that you all are on the top of the Laws of the Game." says Carlo.

"We try to maintain our high standards every season for all referees and I trust that we can continue to work together and further promote our referees at local , OFC and international level," say Harry Atisson member of the Vanuatu Referee Committee.

Vanuatu Football praises the work of the local referees and congratulates them and thank them for their contribution to local football within their Associations over many years.
