New president for Tafea F.C.

Tafea F.C. committee members this week have elected Sabi Natonga as the new President of Tafea F.C.

The club decided to bring in changes for a number of reasons, and one being the sudden fall of Tafea F.C. in the O-League and also to gear up for the National Soccer League coming up.

The members have also elected George Iapson as the new secretary and Robert Calvo as treasurer.

Mr. Jean Pierre Nirua who has been holding the position is now voted to Honorary President of Tafea football club.

All I can say is it is quite too early. I suppose give Sabi a try, he needs to proof himself with his squad no matter who he selects. However, the point mentioned whether VFF has made a right decision to offer him this job is still an un hatched egg. I wish him luck and hope he goes beyond the reign of Buzetti, which will be a difficult challenge for after seeing NZ at the latest fifa world cup tournament.

One suggestion, please Coaching Team, when you select players, do not depend entirely on their skills, simply because NZ players in the NZ National Team and Huge Guys which will make things very difficult for us.

I would place importance on this qualities as well, HEIGHT and being Muscular built.

My view.

Thxs to all that contribute in this forum for a better-soccer-Vanuatu.
Thxs Harry and the team.I am a team oriented individual who has a wide and fast experience in Team Building and team work. I write this based on my knowledge in that area.
Nationally, we need a good and complete-coach and the players with the attitude.A coach who knows how to select, train, discipline, lead and earn the respect of the national players; is essential. One who knows his tactics and techniques well and how to impart his knowledge to his players and when to employ a change of tactics according to the situation of the game on the pitch and uses the skills and advantages of his players to that effect. How ever before he goes to the field, he must know how to select the best for Vanuatu and build the team, up-skill, mentor and motivate them to produce good result. It is not easy but it is possible through commitment, persistence, and consistency. Players with the attitude must be selected. Phase out the selfish, the proud, the lazy, aloof etc.Remember some players who are not skilled but can be skilled; and have the attitude to listen, learn practice, and improve.Sometimes we will need players who are already skilled but not not every time. Those who have the attitude are most of the times better because they have the drive, attributes and can deliver what the coach wants better.I can continue this forever but I believe the coach and and the player with the attitude matters most. Lastly but not the least we need an assistant coach or a team leader who cares for the players and help motivate and build a complete team with respect for each other and have a mutual aim; TO ACHIEVE GOOD RESULTS.

Thanks

Have a nice soccer celebration for the 30th Independence Anniversary.
